Achieve a smoother, more accurately sized hole with this 3/8″ HSS Straight Flute Hand Reamer.
This tool is designed for final sizing after a hole has already been drilled slightly undersize. Unlike a drill, which creates the initial hole, the hand reamer removes a small amount of material to improve the hole’s size, roundness and surface finish.
The reamer incorporates a long starting taper that helps guide the tool into the existing hole. This gradual lead improves alignment and allows the cutting edges to engage the workpiece progressively.
Its straight-flute design is recommended for most general hand-reaming operations in holes without interruptions. For holes containing keyways, slots or other interrupted surfaces, a spiral-flute reamer may be more appropriate.
