Precise and non destructive thickness measurement in metal substrates or non metal.
This thickness gauge can non-destructively measure the thickness of the non-conductive coating on the metal surface and the thickness of the non-ferromagnetic metal coating on the surface of ferromagnetic metals (such as iron, nickel and cobalt, etc.).
Uses include measuring the thickness of the paint or galvanized layer on the surface of iron and stainless steel, and measuring the thickness of the paint or plastic film on the surface of aluminum and copper.
Dry film thickness (DFT) is the thickness of a coating as measured above the substrate. This can consist of a single layer or multiple layers. DFT is measured for cured coatings (after the coating dries). The thickness of a coating depends on the application and type of process employed
