Usage Tips for Maximum Tool Life
Insert Selection: For general purpose steel and stainless, use the TiN Coated SPMT 32.51 (SKU: 6018-3251). For heavier feeds or tougher alloys, opt for the SPMT 32.52 (SKU: 6018-3252).
V-Slot Milling: When using this tool for V-shaped slots, ensure your feed rate is adjusted for the full engagement of both insert pockets to prevent “chatter.”
Back-side Deburring: This tool’s geometry allows for underside deburring; ensure your Z-axis clearance is calculated based on the 1″ maximum diameter to avoid crashing the workpiece.
